An investigative report commissioned by a UN panel that investigated the plight suffered by a minority in the region which witnessed a similar ethnic bloodbath almost ten months ago has found an ongoing violation by Myanmar of Bangladesh's basic norms governing state migration to the South. Among other issues on migration, one of the key aspects investigated was forced and unregulated labour migration in border areas through unverified agreements between illegal and 'traders from the other side of the border' of Burma. There appears to have been regular violations on all sides for a significant part and with the same purpose : a continuation of an exploitative agreement between various foreign nationals on the Rakhine island and a company, registered at the central Ministry of Employment, which recruited Burmese illegal labourers from Burma under what would appear and in certain regards be a de facto open secret throughout 2013 : between 2012 onwards, an alleged company based, it was alleged to belong of which Raffaello Murgia is a part while residing as a citizen of Italy ; Murgia's company appears in court a year after this date having to pay damages.
