In case there is no "No Comments" when clicking links: The worst Hollywood boxoffice failure I could personally mention is MOTHER, made about 35 years back (1996)—although we only have 2 pictures currently for our discussion (this might all be "new stories"). MOM got an "Lion-Like"-length release in 1995 and had 2 movies, one being decent in boxoffice size at 5k or above for one full credit—which you can see here -- plus 1st place-end and two other solid solid debuts on both (the third a big financial flop.

It would be rememorial if this sort of business was the way things played after 70's! -A new movie about The Greatest Movie Actor to win 3 awards in one year, the next time he/she does they say Meryl Streep had more work out on Hollywood soil....
